Don't judge a book by its cover FOTD!

So my Saturday was pretty low key...I got to do one of my favorite things tho. I love to go to a Starbucks in a Chapters or Indigo, order my favorite drink (venti iced green tea lemonade) and people watch or grab a million magazines and catch up on all the Hollywood gossip. It is one of those things that I just feel so relaxed doing and could do every weekend. Then I went to see The Ugly Truth which was pretty funny but very predictable. So I am posting my FOTD or night I guess....(sorry if I look naked but I'm not...lol)

I love this pic!...It's such an old pic of me lol It's me and my mom at a party for their 20th anniversary. It was a surprise party and it was so much fun. The theme of the party was the Oscars, so we gave out little mini golden oscars to best dressed and other categories. We decided on the theme Oscars because my parents got married at the Rockafellar center in NY so we wanted to go with something fun and glamourous! Thanks for the Tag Miss Natty!

Great health and fitness read...

So I have really been trying to get into a good routine of eating properly and trying to exercise...I want to make it a lifestyle and not just go on diets...I really dont believe in diet pills or those '1 day lose 20 pounds diets'...I mean if they worked wouldn't we all look like Megan Fox? I have been doing better at the eating properly than with the exercise but I still have been doing a little bit here and there...I bought some Pilates videos and have done them a couple times and I LOVE them!...It just makes you feel so good and works all your muscles at the same time...as for my eating habits I picked up a great book (pictured above). It's by Louis J. Aronne and it is really well written and easy to understand. He really breaks down the science of food in an easy way and even makes it funny along the way! He provides you with eating tips for life that work! There are even food suggestions for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and your drinks. With plenty of yummy recipes that cut the calories and not the taste, I really recommend this book! Because I tend to sleep in in the mornings I have been making myself protein shakes and following the tips for lunch and dinner and I have already lost a couple pounds and don't feel as tired and have less mood swings!

I thought I would start out with a post about the bloggers I love and people I find interesting...

First I will start with Kandee Johnson...I love this girl...she's so awesome...I have been going thru a bit of a rough time and have been at home a lot and looking for things to do to take my mind off everything...so I starting going on youtube...I randomly came upon her videos on youtube about makeup and lots of other related things...she really is very happy and optimistic and makes me smile when I read her cute little posts or watch her videos...shes so talented and even won in July for Elle magazine's first video star....shes very inspiring and I started with her because shes the one who got me pretty much started on blogging...check her out...

Well...so far i have no followers...but thats ok...maybe soon...I am at work and started looking at other peoples blogs and thought they looked so pretty so I decided to play around with mine and make it look pretty too...what do you think?...I dont know what my blog is really going to be about but probably a little of everything...makeup, books, movies....
